General Purpose of Position: As part of the management team, the Sales Assistant Manager works directly with the Store Manager to ensure the responsibilities of day-to-day management and sales goals of the retail store are being met. The Sales Assistant Manager helps with implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Assistant Manager is responsible for opening and closing the store when the Store Manager is not present. An Assistant Manager is a leader and must have the ability to make informative decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when the Store Manager is not present.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for customer service training and scheduling of on-sight vendor training to ensure sales associates have the correct product knowledge and skills to meet customer service expectations.
  • Develop baseline customer service training to ensure customer service expectations are met.

  • Interview, hire, train and create a positive work environment in order to retain staff.

Originally designed for a local racquet ball club in Tyler, our private label shirts have evolved over the years, but one thing that has always stayed true to the design: the city representation under the TYLER'S logo. That's because one of the main pillars of the TYLER'S brand is to support our local communities through charitable contributions, store fundraising events, and community outreach. For decades, locals have been representing the TYLER'S local t-shirt collection, and recently, crowd favorites from Tumbleweed Texstyles.

Dam That Cancer Presented by TYLER'S is the premier fundraising event for Flatwater. Flatwater Foundation is an Austin-based nonprofit that provides mental health therapy in the wake of cancer. They connect individuals with therapists to help clear their mind, heal their body, and find the strength to take on a diagnosis. DTC has played a huge role in Austin and we're proud to report that Flatwater has provided 65,000 sessions of mental health therapy to Central Texans in need since inception in 2010. Thousands of lives have been changed for the better thanks to supporters such as yourself. We're proud of what we've accomplished, but we know there's still more work to be done. ASSISTANT MANAGER

Reports To: Store Manager

Supervises: Department Managers & Sales Associates

General Purpose of Position: As part of the management team, the Sales Assistant Manager works directly with the Store Manager to ensure the responsibilities of day-to-day management and sales goals of the retail store are being met. The Sales Assistant Manager helps with implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Assistant Manager is responsible for opening and closing the store when the Store Manager is not present. An Assistant Manager is a leader and must have the ability to make informative decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when the Store Manager is not present.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for customer service training and scheduling of on-sight vendor training to ensure sales associates have the correct product knowledge and skills to meet customer service expectations.
  • Develop baseline customer service training to ensure customer service expectations are met.
  • Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
  • Interview, hire, train and create a positive work environment in order to retain staff.
  • Assists with scheduling sales staff to maximize profitability.
  • Assists with orientation, training, and development of sales associates in company policies and standards.
  • Ensures safekeeping of all TYLER’S property.
  • Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
  • Communicates with the Store Manager and Merchandiser to arrange, organize, and display new merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Keeps sales associates on task with the daily duties delegated by the merchandiser & other management.
  • Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
  • Processes sales transactions, returns, and special orders, and ensures that all related documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.
  • Assists in management of store operations.
  • Keeps the Store Manager well informed of activities and significant issues.

Skills Required

  • Ability to develop and train workforce, build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriately.

As part of the management team, a Department Merchandiser works directly with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to ensure the responsibilities of day-to-day merchandising management and merchandising operations of the retail are being met. The Department Manager helps with implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Department Manager is responsible for opening and closing the store when the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager are not present. A Department Manager is a role model and leader. He or She must have the ability to make informative decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager are not present.

Responsibilities/Duties

·  Responsible for ensuring that the highest level of customer service is met through thorough training and inspiration to sales associates.
·  Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
·  Assists with orientation, training, coaching, and developing sales associates in execution of daily tasks and sales.
·  Oversees compliance of sales associates with established company policies and standards.
·  Keeps sales associates on task with established company policies and standards.
·  Ensures safekeeping of all TYLER'S property.
·  Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
·  Communicates with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to arrange, organize, and display new merchandise on the sales floor.
·  Responsible for specific department goals, cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management.
·  Ensure that merchandise is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with TYLER'S policies, strategies, and procedures.
·  Works with managers and backroom managers to keep assigned department back stock organized.
·  Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
·  Processes sales transactions, returns, and special orders, and ensures that all related documentation is accurate and complete.
·  Leads and directs the work of others
·  Executes merchandising plans.
·  Handles inventory discrepancies as soon as possible.
·  Keeps the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager well informed of activities and significant issues.
·  Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise

General Purpose of Position
As part of the TYLER'S team, the sales associate will work directly with their management team to ensure that customer needs are met through greeting, answering questions, answering phones, and resolving customer conflicts. In addition to operational and service duties, sales associates must emit a positive and calm attitude at all times. He or She must have the ability to make informative decisions, and solve problems in a critical and diligent manner.

Responsibilities/Duties

  Responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service is met through greeting customers, answering phones, and directing customer inquiries to the appropriate departments.

·  Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
·  Informs customers about services available and assesses customer needs.
·  Aids customers with locating merchandise in the store.
·  Maintain familiarity with the store return policy and pricing.
·  Contacts sister stores for customer style checks and special orders
·  Completes, processes, and maintains applicable paperwork and records.
·  Assists in the daily opening and closing duties of a retail location.
·  Processes new inventory to TYLER'S apparel standards.
·  Ensures that merchandise is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with TYLER'S policies, strategies, and procedures.
